Batrachopus for Dinosaur State Park, CT by MicrocosmicEcology Batrachopus for Dinosaur State Park, CT by MicrocosmicEcology
The Early Jurassic tracks known as Batrachopus were likely made by an early crocodylomorph. I chose Protosuchus as a model for the image.

This image was created for a new exhibit at Dinosaur State Park in Connecticut.

Love it! I always take my first-year paleontology students to DSP in Connecticut on field trips.

Fantastic scenery!:) I like the open range and how much details you put into the cycad in the front, the scaly skin of Batrachopus and its foodsteps.

Thanks! It did take a while. Kind of hard to find reference material for this group of organisms, too.

You did a very work:D:D

I would give you a comprehensive and intelligent response from all I know from older, paleontological books I own and read sometimes and google research as well. But that would be more a nonsensical composition.^^
However, I like the way you set an early crocodylomorph in a natural environment/ habitat.
